General questions
How much does Next Campus charge for its services?
Our core counselling, university application and offer-management services are free for students — we are remunerated by our partner institutions. Visa lodgement, migration advice and specialised services are quoted transparently before any work begins. You will never receive a surprise invoice from us.
Which country should I choose — UK, Australia, Canada or New Zealand?
It depends on four things: your budget, your academic profile, how quickly you want to finish, and whether permanent residency matters to you. The UK gives you the fastest master’s and lowest total cost; Australia gives the strongest work rights while studying; Canada has the clearest PR route; New Zealand offers the most term-time work hours. A free consultation will narrow it down in one conversation.
Can I apply without IELTS?
In many cases yes. A large number of our UK, Australian and Canadian partners accept a Medium of Instruction letter, PTE Academic, Duolingo English Test or an internal English assessment. We tell you exactly which of your shortlisted universities will waive it before you book any test.
What if I have a study gap or a previous visa refusal?
Both are workable, and both need to be addressed explicitly rather than hidden. Study gaps need documented evidence of what you were doing. Previous refusals need the original refusal reason answered directly in the new application. We have successfully lodged plenty of second applications.
How long does the whole process take?
From first consultation to visa grant, plan for 3–6 months. Offer letters usually arrive within 2–3 days of a complete application. The variable parts are document collection, financial seasoning periods and the visa office’s own processing times.
Do you help after I arrive?
Yes — that is the part most agencies skip. Airport pickup, accommodation, bank account, SIM card, transport card, university enrolment, part-time job search and career support are all part of what we do. Our founders arrived with none of that help, which is precisely why we offer it.
Can my spouse and children come with me?
It depends on the country and your course level. Australia and New Zealand allow dependants for most postgraduate programs. Canada offers spousal open work permits for eligible programs. The UK now restricts dependants to postgraduate research and government-sponsored courses. We confirm this before you choose a course.
Are you a registered company?
Yes. Next Campus PTY LTD is an Australian registered company with its head office in Sydney, New South Wales, and branch offices in Dhaka and Sylhet, Bangladesh.
United Kingdom
Can I study in the UK without IELTS?
Yes — many of our partner universities accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter, PTE Academic, Duolingo English Test or their own internal English assessment. We confirm each university’s exact policy before you apply, so you never pay for a test you did not need.
How much bank balance do I need for a UK student visa?
You must show tuition fees for your first year plus living costs of £1,529 per month (London) or £1,171 per month (outside London) for up to 9 months. The money must sit in an eligible account for 28 consecutive days ending no more than 31 days before you apply. From 30 November 2026 those living-cost figures increase to £14,130 and £10,827 respectively.
Is the Graduate Route still available?
Yes. The Graduate Route currently gives bachelor’s and master’s graduates 2 years of unsponsored work rights and PhD graduates 3 years. For applications made on or after 1 January 2027 the bachelor’s and master’s period reduces to 18 months, so intake timing matters — we plan this with you from the start.
Can I bring my spouse on a UK student visa?
Dependants are generally only permitted for postgraduate research programs (such as PhD) and government-sponsored courses lasting six months or more. We assess your specific course before you make any family plans.
How long does a UK student visa take?
Standard processing from Bangladesh is around 3 weeks once biometrics are submitted. Priority services can reduce this to roughly 5 working days where available.
Australia
What is the Genuine Student (GS) requirement?
The GS requirement replaced the old Genuine Temporary Entrant test. You answer targeted questions about your circumstances, your reasons for choosing the course and provider, and what the qualification will do for you afterwards. It is the single most common reason Australian student visas are refused — we prepare this with you properly rather than handing you a template.
How much money do I need to show for an Australian student visa?
You must evidence A$29,710 for 12 months of living costs, plus your first year of tuition and your travel costs. Funds can come from your own savings, a genuine education loan or an eligible sponsor. We review the source and history of your funds before lodgement, because how the money arrived matters as much as the balance.
Can I work while studying in Australia?
Yes — 48 hours per fortnight while your course is in session, and unlimited hours during scheduled course breaks. Students on a masters by research or PhD have unlimited work rights.
Can I bring my family with me?
Dependants can be included in your student visa application. For postgraduate students, partners generally receive full work rights. We assess your course level and financial capacity before including family members.
Does studying in Australia lead to PR?
It can, but only if the course is chosen with that in mind. Occupation lists, points scores, regional incentives and English scores all matter. We map the pathway before you enrol — not after you graduate.
Canada
What is a GIC and do I need one?
A Guaranteed Investment Certificate is a Canadian bank product that holds your living-cost funds and releases them to you in instalments after arrival. It is not compulsory for every applicant, but it is the cleanest way to evidence living costs and is strongly recommended for Student Direct-style applications.
What is a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)?
Since 2024, most study permit applicants must include a PAL or TAL issued by the province where they will study. Your institution requests it as part of your admission — we confirm it has been issued before we lodge your permit application.
Will my program qualify for a PGWP?
Degree programs at public universities generally qualify. For college diplomas and certificates, field-of-study requirements now apply. We verify PGWP eligibility for every program on your shortlist before you accept an offer — enrolling in an ineligible program is one of the most expensive mistakes a student can make.
Can my spouse work in Canada while I study?
Spousal open work permits are available for partners of students in eligible programs — generally master’s, doctoral and certain professional programs. We assess this as part of your course selection.
How much does it cost to study in Canada?
Tuition typically runs C$18,000–C$45,000 per year, with colleges at the lower end and research universities at the upper end. You must also evidence around C$20,635 in living costs for a single applicant outside Quebec.
New Zealand
How many hours can I work in New Zealand as a student?
Eligible students can work up to 25 hours per week during term time and full-time during scheduled course breaks. Students on research master’s and doctoral programs have unlimited work rights.
How much money do I need for a New Zealand student visa?
You must evidence NZ$20,000 per year of living costs — or NZ$1,667 per month for courses shorter than 12 months — in addition to paying your tuition fees.
What post-study work rights do I get?
Graduates of Level 7 bachelor’s degrees and above can generally apply for a Post-Study Work Visa of up to three years. Level 4–6 graduates may be eligible for a 6-month Short-Term Graduate Visa to secure accredited employer sponsorship.
Can my partner and children come with me?
Partners of students in eligible programs can apply for a work visa, and dependent children can study at New Zealand schools as domestic students. Eligibility depends on your course level.
Is New Zealand cheaper than Australia?
Tuition is broadly comparable, but living costs outside Auckland are typically lower than in Sydney or Melbourne. The required living-cost evidence is NZ$20,000 versus A$29,710 in Australia.
